Many of you have asked about the deleted scenes from Elizabethtown, so we thought it would be a nice holiday/new year treat to share them with you over the next week or so. We will be adding a new, deleted scene each day. These are all from the March, 2003 draft of the script. We hope you like them.
Premiere puts the focus on the Elizabethtown in their new February issue. I have scanned the two pictures you see (including the first known still from the film). There’s also a brief Q & A with Orlando Bloom and Premiere‘s take on the film.
Q&A: Orlando Bloom:
You went straight from playing a holy warrior (in Kingdom of Heaven) to being a seeker after emotional truth in Cameron Crowe’s Elizabethtown.
It was my first time doing an American accent. I had a great coach, but I was caught by how draining it was to stay on it the whole time. Also, culturally I think we’re very different. Thankfully, I was in the best hands possible for that, because Cameron has his finger on the pulse of America.
What sticks with you from songs he played on a boombox during scenes?
The cast and crew have been very busy filming in Louisville and Elizabethtown. Here’s various pictures that have surfaced on the Internet or been sent directly to me by site readers. Thanks to everyone who has shared these.
Television writer/producer (Canada’s Inside Entertainment), site reader and overall nice guy Carey Roberts had the chance to interview Orlando Bloom this past weekend for the Pirates of the Caribbean press junket. He asked him about possibly appearing in Elizabethtown. Bloom indicated that it probably won’t happen because of scheduling conflicts. Orlando also mentioned that Cameron was going to use an “all American” cast. As things continue to heat up, stay tuned here for all the latest news on Elizabethtown!
Here’s a still from Cameron Crowe’s Gap commercial entitled “Denim Invasion” starring Kate Beckinsale and Orlando Bloom. As previously reported, this will debut tonight in the United States during “Law & Order,” “Criminal Intent” and “X-Files.” Throughout May, they will air during episodes of “24,” “West Wing,” “Friends,” “ER,” “Will and Grace,” “Felicity” and the NBA playoffs. They will also run in the United Kingdom and Canada.
Cameron has just completed work on his first television commercial for The Gap! According to Vinyl Films’ Scott Martin, it was shot in Pomona, CA with actors Kate Beckinsale (Pearl Harbor) and Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings). They play a couple pursued by admirers during a stroll on the streets. It was filmed in black & white and will make its debut April 28 in the United States during “Law & Order,” “Criminal Intent” and “X-Files.” Throughout May, they will air during episodes of “24,” “West Wing,” “Friends,” “ER,” “Will and Grace,” “Felicity” and the NBA playoffs. They will also run in the United Kingdom and Canada. Other Gap ads were directed by the Coen Brothers and Roman Coppola.
